Member Spotlight:
Shoutout to Patrick on his new job! We’re really proud of you. You’ve waited a long time and worked hard for this.
Congratulations to Forest for winning the $50 gift card for their amazing costume at our Halloween party.
Appreciation to Toora for diligently working to assist in organizing and advertising our upcoming meetups. In the words of your favorite karaoke song, “Baby, you’re a firework ….”
Happy to share that a new couple has formed a relationship as a result of our group (though I’ll keep their names private). We’re rooting for you and thrilled you found each other!
Recognition to all our trivia teams from last Tuesday’s Punch Bowl Social meetup, but especially to Mark, Trey, and Matt for earning so many points (y’all really should’ve taken first place but perhaps we’ll redeem ourselves tomorrow).
Dalton, we were excited to finally meet your SO at trivia. Pleased to see new faces at recent events. Significant others and friends are always welcome to join our gatherings so please don’t hesitate to let me know if you’d like to bring a plus one.
Note from Kate Woodward:
Hi, all -
How are we feeling this week?
I’ll be honest — the past few weeks have been a bit heavy for me. Whether it’s the pressure of the holidays approaching, a packed workload, or even the little frustrations (like shattering my brand-new iPhone during our Bark Social meetup), it has been challenging to stay upbeat. Even simple tasks, like navigating a crowded and noisy mall to pick up my repaired phone, have felt overwhelming and exhausting.
But as the saying goes, “all’s well that ends well,” and I’m choosing to shift my focus for the weeks ahead. With Thanksgiving around the corner, I want to lean into gratitude — to notice the things around me that are going well, that bring fulfillment and joy, and to trust that the rest will unfold as it’s meant to, even when it feels out of my control.
Speaking of gratitude, I’m incredibly thankful for all of you. Your support, belief in this group’s potential, and patience as we transition from Meetup.com to our website mean so much. Your questions and feedback are always welcome, and I appreciate the gentle understanding that this group is a labor of love I manage in my limited free time outside of my business. While I may not always get everything just right, please know I’m giving it my all.
If there’s anything I can do to support you, don’t hesitate to reach out.
